At the Meeting Hall,
Bruckheimer has succeeded in recreating small-town America. Top: young
pool, pinball and video-game players. Middle: the "bar" at the Meeting
Hall, which Bruckheimer bought from Joe Ley, a dealer in Louisville,
caters to a family trade now. Liquor bottles and beer taps have been
replaced by athletic trophies and an elaborate espresso machine.
Bottom: when Bruckheimer bought the Wells Building, she removed a
concrete-block addition and restored its graceful porch. She hopes to
turn it into a barbecue restauruant.
